Maan Special Products separates itself from Maan Group and enters a new phase under the leadership of Bart Oude Wesselink, focusing on growth, development and expansion into new markets. To achieve this, Maan Special Products has found an investment partner in Nordian, an entrepreneurial investment company that can accelerate the intended growth as a strategic partner. The Jansen family will remain involved as shareholders.
For years, Maan Special Products has been one of Maan Group’s eye-catching divisions, giving its own unique interpretation to the Maan credo: ‘We are discoverers’. Although the high-tech products manufactured in the cleanrooms in Raalte are often groundbreaking, they differ from the sustainable products and technologies developed by the other Maan divisions. Maan Special Products has always pursued a different goal—pushing the boundaries of technological advancement.
Founded in 2002, Maan Special Products originated from LC Maan Engineering, where ‘LC’ stood for Loan Coating—coating on demand. Over time, these projects became increasingly specialized and precise. Recognizing this shift, Maan founder André Jansen decided to focus entirely on precision coating. Coarser production work was phased out, and Maan Special Products evolved into a dedicated division serving the high-tech industry.
Today, Maan Special Products specializes in high-precision, multilayer seals and films that enhance the most advanced products and technologies. From positioning tools to protective layers—often with specialized surface treatments—the company’s innovations contribute to a smarter world.
The relevance of these precision-engineered components is undeniable, as demonstrated by the company’s impressive growth in recent years. While Maan Special Products has primarily served the semiconductor industry, new opportunities are emerging in other markets as well.
